The Urban Tao is a community of laypersons (urban monks) who are devoted to the persistent cultivation of mind, body, and spirit. Urban monks seek to develop an intimate understanding of the cosmos and diligently practice this understanding in daily life. We practice Taoist Yoga, Mindfulness, and Personal Transformation.    

Welcome!   Our hiking group is large and diverse, with regular well attended hikes.  Some are quick, short hikes close to the city, while others are on less-traveled hiking trails a bit further off the beaten path. We also have regular dragon-boat practices on Lake Union with the Seattle Flying Dragon Boat Club four times per week.
